In the coming weeks the pupils and staff of Limavady High School will be engaging in a wide range of purposeful activities aimed at promoting an anti-bullying school.

These activities include writing emotive poems, participating in discussions, making anti-bullying video messages and designing informative posters. The work will be displayed in classrooms, corridors and on the plasma screens.

Vice Principal and Head of Pastoral Care, Mr. Michael Allen said: “The pupils and staff at Limavady High School have a fantastic relationship and we are incredibly proud of that. We respect and support each other. Whilst the school does not tolerate any forms of bullying, anti-bullying week is an opportunity to focus on the positive and respectful ethos of the school and to remind pupils of our anti-bullying policy.

“Bullying can take many different forms and can occur in any walk of life so it is essential that children learn to empathise with one another and understand that we are all individuals who deserve respect. If we make connections with one another, respect will flourish”.

He added: “Please stand with the pupils and staff of Limavady High School and say we are better without bullying.”
