Northern Ireland Electricty has restored power to more than 6,500 homes affected by Monday’s power outage in Londonderry.

A spokesperson for Northern Ireland Electricity said engineers restored power to around 6,500 customers at 1.11pm, and were “working hard to restore power to the remaining customers without power mainly in the Waterside area”.

Northern Ireland Electricity tweeted about the incident shortly after 12.30pm on Monday.
