Foyle Down Syndrome Trust’s new kitchen has been officially opened.

The group was joined by the Mayor of Derry and Strabane District Council, Alderman Hilary McClintock for the unveiling following ‘The People’s Projects’ success.

Also present was Foyle MLA Gary Middleton who said: “It was an honour to attend this fantastic occasion and celebration of the group being awarded £50,000 from the Recipe for Success project.

“The funding has been used to build a new kitchen which will allow for the facilitation of cookery lessons which will provide a lasting legacy for all involved.

“This is a very worthwhile charity and a fantastic project. I will continue to support them in the future.”
