Fresh lick of paint forWatersideyellow lines

Mr Reilly said: “I have made representations to Transport NI requesting that they repaint the yellow lines in the Hayesbank Park area of the Waterside.”

He said the markings had not been touched during recent roads works and that this had caused problems.

“After recent resurfacing, these lines were not repainted which was causing a problem for residents – as unfortunately some vehicles park there blocking access for delivery vehicles and emergency services.”

The local Councillor praised the local roads authority for taking action and said he hoped that the work could be completed as soon as possible.

“I therefore welcome confirmation today from Transport NI that this work has now been programmed and will be completed shortly,” he said.
