Mia Shearring (Nazareth House PS) was all smiles after receiving her prize of a new bike from Deputy Mayor, Alderman Gary Middleton, for her entry in a ‘Bike Week’ poster competition.
The runners up in the competition each received cyclist goodie bags. They were: Louise Harkin and Jadim Divin of St Therese’s, Aimee Mary Loughrey of Nazareth House and Radhika Gupta of Lisnagelvin PS and Sophie Read of Oakgrove PS.
Mr Middleton said: “All the designs are excellent and Mia’s poster is very well drawn with a happy cyclist enjoying a spin away from the traffic. It gets across the message of Bike Week and will get people thinking about cycling which is both great exercise and a convenient way of getting about.”
