Police in Londonderry are appealing for information following an attempted vehicle theft on Monday, February 18.

Shortly after midnight, three males were seen attempting to steal a blue coloured Rav 4 from the Glencaw Park area. The thieves were disturbed by the vehicle owner and fled in the direction of Leafair Playing Fields. Damage was caused to the steering column of the jeep.

The males are described as aged in their mid teens, one wearing glasses and a red and white coloured ‘hoody’ and another male was wearing a dark coloured ‘hoody’.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen the males or has any information to contact them.
