Shipquay Street diversion

Derry City Council wish to advise motorists that one lane of Shipquay Street will be closed today, Friday, from the Diamond in the direction of Shipquay Gate until tomorrow, Saturday at 10am recommencing at 5pm Saturday evening to 12pm on Sunday in order to facilitate the completion of the Christmas lights installation.

Motorists wishing to travel onto Shipquay Street from the Diamond will be directed along Ferryquay Street, Carlisle Rd and John Street to the Foyle Embankment in the direction of the City.

Council advises that traffic may be heavier than usual in the city centre area due to these restrictions and apologises for any inconvenience caused.

Further updates shall be provided should the situation change from that specified.
