PSNI Maydown to lose soccer pitch

PLAYMAKING police officers in Londonderry will soon have to forego the beautiful game as their soccer pitch inside Maydown PSNI station is set to make way for a new garage and storage facility.

The force has decided to replace land currently used as a football pitch and boiler house.

The planning application for PSNI Maydown is for “land currently used as a football court and boiler house to be used to accommodate a new build garage and storage facility.”
