Priority parking for Bogside

ROADS Minister Danny Kennedy says new legislation to give residents of the Bogside priority parking will be in place by next year, Londonderry UK City of Culture 2013.

He said a residents parking scheme in the Bogside would be one of a number across Northern Ireland to be launched next year.

Said Mr Kennedy: “My Department’s Roads Service has advised that it is continuing to progress Residents’ Parking Schemes and the legislation required as quickly as possible.

“It is anticipated that schemes in the Bogside, Londonderry and at Clarke Court and Masserene Street in Antrim are likely to be delivered in late 2013.”
