Mobility scooters involved in crashes with cars, bikes and people

MOBILITY scooters were involved in five recorded accidents on Northern Ireland roads last year with collisions involving crashes with cars, motorbikes and people.

According to the PSNI five incidents during 2011/12 were described as: “A car hit scooter; Scooter hit motorcycle; Car collided with scooter on pedestrian crossing; Scooter collided with taxi; and Scooter hit pedestrian.”

The PSNI released the information in response to a Freedom of Information request.
