Local victims’ groups benefit

VICTIMS groups in Londonderry received share of a £6.7m peace money roll-out in 2011/12, it has been revealed.

The allocation was part of the Community Relations Council’s Strategic Support Fund (SSF) distribution, which has now been extended for a final year in 2012/13.

The Office of First Minister and Deputy First Minister (OFMDFM) revealed that last year local groups Calms (£155,794); Cunamh (£176,659); Derry Well Woman (£90,955); HURT (£119,816); and West Tyrone Voice (£112,235) were amongst the beneficiaries of funding allocated to groups working with victims and survivors under the SSF.
