Killaloo Orangemen are looking to the future

THE annual installation of Officers for Killaloo True Blues LOL 621 took place on Friday last, February 6, in Killaloo Orange Hall.

The meeting was chaired by Bro Jonathan Keys, DM, in the unavoidable absence of the WM, Wor Bro Ronnie Lamrock ,due to exceptional circumstances. The meeting was very well attended with brethren coming from various areas including Donegal.

The main business for the evening was the Installation of Officers, which was carried out in the most proficient manner by Rt Wor Bro Victor Wray, City Grand Master of the City of Londonderry Grand Orange Lodge, assisted by Wor Bro Maurice McKeegan, Deputy District Master No 5 District.

The Officers installed for the incoming year were, Bro Jonathan Keys DM, Wor Bro Mervyn Duddy Treasurer, Bro Garvin Caldwell Secretary, Wor Bro John Cairns Lecturer with the committee comprising Wor Bro Billy Keys, Bro Robert McGonigle, Wor Bro Norman Boyd and Wor Bro Aubrey Crawford.

A vote of thanks was offered to all who assisted in the Installation, and after the meeting a splendid supper was served, followed by tea and coffee was provided by Wor Bro Norman Boyd, Past Master of Killaloo.

The lodge was very honoured to have in attendance, Rt Wor Bro Dr David Hume, MBE, director of services, who gave a very informative talk on 'Where we are going as an Institution'.

The evening was then brought to a close with Wor Bro John Cairns playing a selection of tunes on the tin whistle and the singing of the National Anthem.
