Health funding up by £546m

TOTAL health Department funding increased by over £500m over the past five years.

Health Minister Edwin Poots said: “The total funding (current and capital) for my Department increased from £4,068.2m in 2007/08 to £4,614.1m in 2011/12.”

He provided the information in response to a question tabled by DUP MLA Gregory Campbell.

Mr Campbell asked the Minister what the increase in the total level of funding for his Department between 2007 and 2012 had been.
