Graveyard entrance to close for work

THE Lone Moor entrance to the city cemetery in Londonderry will be closed over Hallowe’en and is set to re-open on Friday, October 2.

This is to facilitate repair work and resurfacing on the main driveway at this entrance.

A spokesperson advised that the Creggan Gate entrance will be open to the public but that it will be restricted to no-through traffic.

Undertakers and churches have been informed so that they can make appropriate arrangements. It is anticipated that the Lone Moor Road entrance will reopen on Friday 2nd of November.

Derry City Council would like to take this opportunity to apologise for any inconvenience which may be caused to visitors to the city cemetery as a result of these essential works.
