Construction site theft

Police in Londonderry are appealing for information following a theft from a construction site on the railway line on the afternoon of Saturday October 20.

Sometime between 2pm and 2.25pm, a trolley of steel plates were stolen from the railway line which is currently under repair. In all 60 steel plates and 30 faceta hooks along with a trolley were stolen from the site.

Police are keen to speak to the driver of a white van with a southern registration that was seen in the area at the time.

Police say the stolen items are very distinctive and are appealing to anyone who knows of anyone selling these items in suspicious circumstances to contact the police.
