Brethren up for Orange Awards
FOUR members of the Orange Order from County Londonderry have been nominated for gongs in the annual Orange Community Awards, which are to be held in Coleraine on Saturday, January 31.
David Nutt and George Keys, of Culmore True Blue LOL 1866, Alfred Gurney, of Blackhill LOL 350 (Coleraine), and Joanne Honeyford, of Coleraine WLOL 78 are all up for prizes at the gala ceremony. Thomas Allen, of Donemana LOL 503, County Tyrone is also nominated for a prize.
The competition for the best new banner of the year always attracts major interest and is also up for grabs and will be contested by Cranny Heroes LOL 1015, from Co. Londonderry.
