Brazen thief slung stolen laptop over his shoulder

A BRAZEN thief stole a laptop from a shop in the middle of Londonderry before taking the lift out of the store and walking down the street in broad daylight with the stolen goods slung over his shoulder.

Police in Londonderry are appealing for information following a theft from a department store in the Diamond area on Wednesday, September 26.

At around 12.50pm a male entered a staff area and stole a DELL laptop and a black coloured laptop bag. He took the lift to the ground floor and exited the building onto Ferryquay Street carrying the laptop bag over his shoulder. The male was wearing a light coloured baseball cap.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen the male or has any information on the computer to contact Police at Strand Road station on 0845 600 8000 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
