A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD girl who saved her grandfather’s partner’s life by providing ambulance control with vital information whilst an A&E vehicle sped to the scene has been lauded by the boss of the local health service.

Autumn Carey acted bravely after her grandfather’s partner, Heather Dillon, became unwell and he called 999 for assistance.

Robert Carey went to the top of the lane to guide the ambulance to the house.

Autumn stayed on the phone providing support to ambulance control.

Western Trust Chief Executive Elaine Way, who met Autumn in her office, described her as a very special guest.

She said: “I am delighted to finally meet Autumn after her grandfather contacted us to tell us of her wonderful bravery.

“I admire her for the help she was able to give ambulance control and this certificate is our way of saying thank you to her for all her efforts.”
