Police in Londonderry are appealing for information following an assault on a 15-year-old male on Thursday last, January 31.

At around 8.25am the victim was walking along Westway when an unknown male walking in the opposite direction bumped into him with a suspected knife. The attacker ran off in the direction of Rosemount. The victim was not injured but his clothes had slice marks and he was badly shaken by the incident.

The attacker is described as aged in his late twenties/early thirties, around 5ft 6” tall, dark brown hair with a fringe down to his eyes and was wearing a grey hooded top with a ‘wheel’ design printed on the front and black Reebok trainers.
