Detectives are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary in the Wesley Street area of Londonderry on Sunday night, February 3.

It was reported that sometime before 8pm two unknown males, one carrying a suspected firearm, forced their way into a house in the area and tied up the male resident and assaulted him. The man, aged in his 20s, was treated in hospital for his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening. One of the males is described as being approximately 5’9” tall, of slim build wearing a black puffa style jacket, faded jeans and a balaclava. The second male is described as being of similar height and build wearing a hooded top and a white scarf covering his face. The men made off with a lap-top computer, television, bank cards and a sum of cash.

It is believed that they may have left the area in a car. CID are investigating.
