A 56-year-old woman is in a stable but serious condition following a two-vehicle accident last night, November 29, between Newbuildings and Magheramason.

Police are now appealing for information following the accident on the Victoria Road between the two villages.

At around 4.40pm a white Ford Transit van and a red Peugeot 106 were involved in the collision. Four people were taken to hospital and a 56 year-old woman remains in a stable but serious condition.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or was travelling on the road at the time and may have information to contact Police at Strand Road station.
