22 Troubles jobs supported

TWENTY-TWO Londonderry jobs are supported by the Strategic Support Fund (SSF), which provides money to groups working with victims and survivors of the Northern Ireland Troubles.

The Office of First Minister and Deputy First Minister (OFMDFM) fund supports 12 full-time jobs in the city and 10 part-time jobs.

Groups to benefit are Aurora Counselling Services (3 jobs); CALMS (2 jobs); Columba Celtic Heritage Support Services (2 jobs); Cunamh (6 jobs); Derry Well Woman (2 jobs); Have Your Tomorrows (2 jobs); and the WAVE Trauma Centre (5 jobs).

OFMDFM revealed the number of funded posts for each group that was in receipt of Strategic Support Fund monies for 2012/2013 in response to an Assembly Question.

“A total of 112 full-time and 55 part-time posts are funded through the Strategic Support Fund across 48 groups for 2012/13. In addition to this, 6 full-time and 4 part-time posts which were unsuccessful in their applications for 2012/13 but had previously been funded were funded on a three-month exit basis.” a statement revealed.
