204 planning breaches live

TWO hundred planning enforcement cases where people are alleged to have breached court orders or failed to comply with an enforcement notice of breach of conditions notice are currently live in Londonderry.

Planning Minister Alex Attwood said there were 204 such cases in the city at the start of December. In Strabane the figure is 46; in Limavady the figure is 41.

He stated: As of December 3, 2012 there were 3,261 ‘live’ enforcement cases under consideration by Planning across the area office network.”

He added: “It includes cases which are at various stages of consideration from initial investigation of an alleged breach to court action following failure to comply with an enforcement notice or breach of condition notice.”
