Video: Martina Anderson on persuading unionists, abortion and the euro

Speaking to our sister paper, the News Letter, at Sinn Fein’s manifesto launch in Belfast, the party’s MEP Martina Anderson claimed that “a lot of thinking unionists” could be persuaded of the merits of a united Ireland.

Mrs Anderson also said that she was opposed to the current use of two currencies on the island of Ireland but declined to say whether she supported the introduction of the euro in Northern Ireland.

And Mrs Anderson rebutted claims of confusion within Sinn Fein on the issue of abortion.
