LONDONDERRY DUP Alderman Gary Middleton has slammed those who once again launched paintbombs at the Apprentice Boys’ Memorial Hall on Tuesday night (October 8).
Alderman Middleton said the attacks needed to stop.
During the summer the iconic Londonderry building came under sustained attack - particularly in the run up to the Relief of Derry celebrations on August 12.
Thankfully, the latest missiles fell short.
But Alderman Middleton blasted: “Shame on those who last night again attempted paint bombing the Apprentice boys hall. Needs to end now.”
During the summer Londonderry’s Foyle Area Commander Jon Burrows addressed the issue directly stating: “I would appeal to parents to make sure they know where their children are and what they are doing.
“Parents need to talk to children about the possible consequences if they are found committing any offence as it could result in them having a life impacting criminal record.”
Anyone witnessing incidents should report it to police immediately at Strand Road on 08456008000 or Crimestoppers on 0800555111.
