Multi-channel trade retailer Screwfix opened a new store on the Springtown Road on Thursday (June 5).

Magdalen Magill, Store Manager, said: “It’s great to bring more custom to Northern Ireland, especially Derry/Londonderry, a thriving town with a great trade presence.

“Our tradesmen are really busy travelling from job to job and need pick up supplies on their way, so opening a new store in Derry/Londonderry allows us to become more convenient for our customers.

“Our celebration period, which ran from Thursday until Sunday, June attracted hundreds of customers and we are looking forward to welcoming many more local people as our presence grows. We have been out and about getting to know local businesses and in return we have received fantastic support from the community, who have all shown a keen interest in the store.”
