There were traffic delays earlier today following a two-car collision in the Strathfoyle area on the outskirts of Londonderry.

The collision occurred at the Westlake area of Strathfoyle this morning, Monday, December 23.

Shortly before 12pm, it was reported that a blue Citroen C3 Picasso collided with a white Citroen C3 in the area. It is believed that one male has been taken to a nearby hospital, but at this stage, none of the injuries sustained by the four casualties are believed to be life-threatening.

Motorists were subject to traffic delays in the area while the emergency services worked to help the casualties and clear the road.

In addition to the PSNI three ambulance crews and the NIFRS rescue tender were also at the scene.
