Man unconscious in Royal after being discovered on Easter Sunday

A man in his mid 50s remained unconscious in the Royal Victoria Hospital on Friday (April 25) after being found with serious head injuries in Lower Bennett Street on Easter Sunday.

At around 10.30pm, the ambulance service was called the area. The man taken to Altnagelvin before being transferred to the Royal. He has remained unconscious in hospital since the weekend.

Information can be given to the CID at Strand Road on the 101 non-emergency number, quoting reference number 294 23/04/14.
