Man shot in knee in Rosemount

A gang of men burst into a house in Rosemount on Sunday (March 29) before shooting a man in the leg.

The 20-year-old man was shot in the right knee in the house in Osborne Street.

A gang of three men are thought to have been involved in the incident at about 11pm. They broke into a house and two of them ran upstairs where they shot a man in his right knee. He was taken by ambulance to Altnagelvin Hospital.

Another man and a woman who were also present in the house at the time were held at gunpoint in a downstairs room by one of the gang.
