DUP Alderman Maurice Devenney has raised concerns about the faintness of road markings at the Culmore roundabout.

DUP Alderman Maurice Devenney has raised concerns about the faintness of road markings at the Culmore roundabout.

DUP Alderman Maurice Devenney says he intends lobbying Roads Service over the faintness of road markings on the ‘gyratory’ junction at the Culmore Road end of the Foyle Bridge.

“Some of the lines and road markings are hardly visible,” said Mr Devenney. “I’ll be in contact with Roads Service to ask if they can be made more prominent.”

A spokeperson for the Department of Regional Development (DRD) said: “The lane lines at Culmore Roundabout are inspected on a regular basis and do not require repainting at this time. The lane arrows and stop lines are scheduled for routine maintenance later in the year.”
