Limavady benefits fraudster given suspended sentence
A Limavady man was convicted at Antrim Crown Court on Friday for claiming benefits to which he was not entitled.
Michael Begley (56) of Duncrum Road, who claimed Jobseekers Allowance and Rates totalling £18,152 while failing to declare employment and capital, was given three months imprisonment suspended for two years. He is required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Department for Communities.
