Trench Art exhibition at Siege Museum now open to the public

A fascinating exhibition of '˜Trench Art' has gone on display at the Apprentice Boys Siege Museum in Society Street, Londonderry.

The exhibition is open to the public daily until November 18.

The artefacts were collated to commemorate the centenary of the Battle of the Somme, and include sculpted shell casings.

All of the artefacts were created by soldiers who found themselves stationed in France and Belgium during World War I.

The Siege Museum is open Monday to Saturday 10am to 4.30pm. Admission £3.00. Admission is free to children under 12, accompanied by an adult. Group bookings welcome for guided tours.

A wide range of catering is available for groups when booked in advance.
