A Ditch the Dark event, with children dressing in luminous, reflective colours, highlighting the importance of being seen in the dark, to celebrate the school receiving a Silver School Mark Award in Sustainable Transport.

The school has taken part in the Active Travel Programme for three years, receiving a Bronze Award in April, 2014.

The Active Travel Programme reduces congestion outside school gates, provides children opportunities to engage in exercise getting to and from school and studies have shown that children who actively travel to school perform better in class.
