It’s supposed to provide a forum for discussing key environmental issues and how innovative thinking can turn challenges into opportunities to enhance business, deliver cost reductions and improve the environment.
Dr Howard Hastings, Managing Director of Hastings Hotels, said: “I very much welcome the opportunity to sit on the Minister’s Prosperity Panel.
“Year on year Northern Ireland is becoming more attractive as a tourist destination with our culture, events and natural environment.
“As a hotel chain, we provide our guests with the opportunity to sample Northern Ireland’s unique environment through our use and promotion of local produce.
“I look forward to finding new ways of harnessing the wonders of our natural environment to further boost our economy for the benefit of everyone.”

Panel members include Declan Billington of Thompson and Sons Limited, Bernadette McDermott of Seagate Technology, Tony Wilcox of Danske Bank, Craig McGuicken from the Northern Ireland Environment Link (NIEL), Co. Armagh farmer Tim McClelland and two individuals representing young people.
