The DoE is moving into the old Culture Company offices in Ebrington, the Sentinel has learned.

Earlier this month Environment Minister Mark H. Durkan confirmed 24 posts from planning, including chief planner, DOE Marine Division and several positions from his private office were to be relocated to a new satellite office in Ebrington.

Now the DoE has confirmed it’ll be moving into Building 71, where the Culture Company formerly ran UK City of Culture 2013. The Department of Finance is seeking to carry out renovations to the old office on Ilex’s behalf and has applied for Listed Building consent to carry out minor external maintenance works including plastering walls, internal alterations including decoration and the provision of new Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) compliant water closet and kitchen facilities.
