An alcoholic who was disorderly in a local shopping centre was jailed for three months when he appeared at Londonderry magistrates Court.

Paul Martin Pius Kelly (42), with an address at Damien House, admitted being disorderly on March 26 at Foyleside Shopping Centre.

Paddy MacDermott defending, told the court his client had problems with alcohol and had been in custody since the date of the incident.

He said that his client was “looking a lot better for it”.

Imposing penalty, District Judge Barney McElholm said: “I am sure Foyleside can do without this sort of behaviour”.
