Assault on man in car park in the Cityside

Police at Strand Road have appealed for information about an assault at the Pennyburn.

At about 2.30pm on Thursday, July 22, a man was in a car parked near the Credit Union office.

The driver’s side door was opened by a man who began punching the car’s occupant, who was then pulled from the car, kicked and jumped upon, leaving the injured party with a suspected broken cheekbone, severe swelling on the right side of his face and a graze to the back of his head.
