Craft workers to tackle suicide and self-harm

LOCAL craft producers in Londonderry will be helping to tackle the scourge of suicide and self-harm on Saturday, March 9.

Volunteer Elish O’Kane, has organised a craft fair in support of the Samaritans charity at the Da Vinci’s Hotel Complex between 11 am and 4pm.

The Mayor Kevin Campbell said: “The Samaritans charity is one very close to my heart and this event will not only help raise money but raise awareness of the charity and the support services it has to offer.

“I am very much aware of the excellent work they do and would encourage the Derry public to come along and support this worthy cause.”

The craft fair will include a selection of handmade products from 20 local craft workers with everything from jewellery, wood carvings, homebaking, glassware and artwork.
