A new range of Londonderry themed sweets are now available for purchase at the tourist office in the city.

Tourists and locals are invited to try a Guildhall Square (chocolate covered honeycomb), an Ebrington Square (rocky road chocolate), a zesty Shipquay Sherbert or a ‘burny’ Brandy Drop.

There are also Candystripes-themed Clove Rock sweets.

And the name of the confectionary range harks back to the heady days of Londonderry UK City of Culture 2013.

According to a spokesperson for the tourist office: “Legenderry Licks are more than just sweets. These licks are more than just pure Derry; they’re so good in fact we’ve had to invent a brand new name for them: they’re Legenderry.”

The range of delicious sweets are available in a range of containers and would make an ideal gift.

“Available in fun collectible jars as well as bespoke bags our fabulous range of handmade locally-crafted and deliciously tasty sweets make the perfect gift or souvenir for friends or family near or far.

“Each and every one of our Legenderry Licks are themed around the historic city of Derry~Londonderry – each one designed to evoke that simple taste of home.”

Those readers with a sweet tooth can buy the sweets now at 44 Foyle Street, Londonderry.
