Over 1,350 customers without power

Over 1,350 customers are currently without power after two power cuts struck the region.

It is understood 1,346 customers are without power in the Ballymagorry area.

The power cut commenced at approximately 10am today.

A spokesperson for Northern Ireland Electricity Networks (NIEN) said: “The repair team is on its way. The fault is due to equipment failure.”

The estimated restoration time is 1pm on Friday, March 3.

Meanwhile, a total of 10 customers are without power in Ballykelly.

Power went off at approximately 2:15am today.

Commenting on the outage, a NIEN spokesperson said: “Our repair team has arrived and is assessing the problem. The fault is due to equipment failure.”

There is currently no estimated time for restoration.
