Quantum Group as enjoyed an increase in sales leads after transforming its telephone system into an innovative marketing and sales tool.
The Londonderry-based fixings and hardware manufacturer employed PH Media Group to implement a tailored on-hold marketing campaign, the messages played to callers whenever they are put on hold or transferred.
These messages have proven to increase the firm’s product awareness and boost sales by making use of previously ‘dead time’ to communicate key marketing messages.
They use voice and music designed specifically to represent Quantum’s company image and brand values.
“There has already been an immediate recognition of the system’s value within just one month of implementation,” said Ben White, Internal Marketing Manager, Quantum Group.
“One client originally rang up to enquire about a product yet became aware of another service we offered while he was on hold. He ended up spending an additional €700 which is a fantastic case for on-hold marketing.”
With four areas of specialism falling under the Quantum Group umbrella, the telephone marketing service created an opportunity to cross-sell and up-sell the company’s other products to customers waiting on the phone.
As well as supplementing marketing activity, these messages are proven to reduce perceived waiting time, allowing Quantum to reinforce its commitment to being a market leader for quality and service.
“We originally became aware of on-hold marketing through our sister company in the UK which had a similar system in place to promote its brand,” said Ben.
