OFMDFM poured £22m into NW
THE Office of First Minister and Deputy first Minister (OFMDFM) has pumped £22m in both capital and current expenditure into the North West over the past two years, it’s been revealed.
The Department provided £17.64m in total to Ilex; it spent £886k tidying up Shackleton; and it poured £4.27m into peace-building and equality schemes in the North West. The total spend was £22,796,000
“Since May 2011 we have committed £13.84m capital and £3.8m resource to Ilex for the regeneration of the site and buildings at Ebrington Square,” the Ministers stated.
“We have spent £886,000 on maintenance and for some development work at the Shackleton site in Ballykelly which will enable it to be used for a number of community and commercial events.
“We also provided funding of £4.27m towards equality, good relations and ethnic minority programmes in the North West,” he stated.
