AN application has been lodged to change a Londonderry chemist shop into a café.

Under the proposal the Medicare Pharmacy at the Shantallow shops will become Granny Emma’s Café.

Planners have received an application for “change of use from a chemist to a Take Away/Sit In café serving hot and cold food and beverages in a ground floor property of a block of three terrace style retail units.”

The plans refer to premises at Unit 68B Racecourse Road.
