A LONDONDERRY clothes shop has been shortlisted in the best new business of the year category in an upcoming fashion awards organised by Drapers magazine.

Chocolate Clothing from Londonderry has been announced as one of the lucky nominees for the Best New Business of the Year category of this year’s Drapers Fashion Awards, which will take place on Wednesday, November 21 at the Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane

Co-owner, David Conaghan, said: “This is an amazing honour and definitely a highlight of my career to date to be nominated for the Drapers Fashion Awards. I have everything crossed that I win in November and do Chocolate proud!”

The store offers men’s and women’s top brand designer clothing online and the very best in young fashion and heritage brands. Located in Londonderry, Chocolate claims to be the North West of Ireland’s leading designer clothing store.

Drapers is the market leading fashion trade magazine and a key resource for the UK fashion industry. The Drapers Fashion Awards recognise and celebrate the very best in the fashion industry, having been selected across a range of categories by a panel of experts.

For the first time ever the Drapers Fashion Awards nominees have been announced via Twitter in a bid to reach out to a wider audience and engage more with their followers.

This year was even more competitive as well with an over 30 per cent increase in the number of entries for the Drapers Fashion Awards compared to last year.
