CLAUDY fruit and vegetable producer Season Harvest plans to develop a new processing facility in the village, which will be partly landscaped into the surrounding countryside.

The company that produces and delivers fresh fruit and vegetables throughout Londonderry, Tyrone and Donegal has applied for permission for a new premises opposite 613 Baranailt Road.

The application is a “proposed new fresh fruit and vegetable processing and distribution facility/premises, together with associated ancillary accommodation, parking and siteworks.”

According to drawings the new plant will be blended with the local environment through landscaping.

Season Harvest claims to be Northern Ireland’s premier provider of fresh fruit and vegetables.

It claims on its website to “attribute our growth and continued success to exacting quality standards and service delivery.”

The company locally sources and processes most of its fresh produce through its own facilities in Claudy.
