LADIES it is time to air your wedding dress and get ready for a bridal spectacular on the Peace Bridge.

On Saturday , April 27, 2013 a record breaking challenge will take place; Brides Across The Bridge will attempt to have 2013 brides dressed in wedding gowns on the Peace Bridge.

Ladies of all ages from all over are needed to come together in a wedding dress to create this unbelievable sight. This amazing event is being organised in aid of Foyle Hospice so come one and come all in April and enjoy the opportunity to wear your wedding dress once again.

You don’t have to be a bride yourself to take part in this unique event; if your big day is still ahead of you then why not borrow a wedding gown from a friend or wear one belonging to a relative. The wedding dress can also be from any cultural background such as an Indian Sari.

The ‘brides’ are asked to pay £10 with proceeds raised going to Foyle Hospice. This event was created by a group of local woman in memory of a loved who benefited from the services provided by Foyle Hospice.

Foyle Hospice has a dedicated group of Specialist Medical and Nursing Teams who provide palliative care to those suffering with a terminal illness such as Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, COPD, Heart Failure and Parkinson’s. The Hospice also provides support and comfort to the families and loved ones of patients. This care is provided free of charge to those that require it in either a Hospice or Home setting.
