Showstoppers comes to the Millennium Forum stage

Music lovers are in for a treat this month as the Londonderry Musical Society and Britannia Concert Band take to the stage of the Millennium Forum to present their acclaimed Showstoppers musical extravaganza.

Time is running out to get your tickets for the concert which will take place on Friday, November 23, in aid of The Changaro Trust and Northern Ireland’s Children to Lapland.

This is the 24th season of the Showstoppers charity concerts which have been performed to great acclaim across the North West and raised over £200,000 for local charities.

The unique collaboration will again be under the direction of the Goodman brothers, with Ken in charge of the Band and Jim conducting the LMS. As ever, the concert will showcase the very best of local musical talent in the run up to the City of Culture year.

The programme this year will include a fantastic collection of show tunes from stage and screen, featuring music from Cabaret, Fiddler on the Roof and Gilbert and Sullivan, as well as tunes by the Beatles, Bert Bacharach, Irving Berlin and Andrew Lloyd Webber. There will also be a selection of popular classics including Viva Tonight made famous by Katherine Jenkins, as well as Snow Patrol’s Run.

The eclectic programme offers something for everyone and is the perfect opportunity for people in the city to enjoy a fantastic evening of music and home-grown talent.

Tickets are available from the Millennium Forum box office, online or by phoning 028 7126 4455.
