One of the highlights on the cultural calendar at Lisneal College is the annual Burns Night Celebrations, which this year is on Friday January 25.

Following the phenomenal success of last years event, the college has planned an even bigger celebration this year.

After the traditional Burns supper the school has planned a packed evening of entertainment featuring a variety of local performers including Tullintrain Pipe Band, Sollus, Shelly Anne Campbell and Tiny Feet schools of dance.

Music will be provided by Irene Pender, Juliana Ayton and Susan Keown as well as a number of talented pupils from the college. After the concert the audience are asked to put on their dancing shoes as the Alister Scott Ceilidh band take the stage.

This event has not only been extremely successful among fans of Burns but has proved a huge hit with first time attendees.

Tickets are limited however, so those interested in taking part are advised to book early. Tickets can be purchased from the school office by telephoning 028 7181 2097, priced £14.50.

Doors open at 6.30pm for dining promptly at 7pm.
