A MEMBER of staff from Echo Echo Dance Theatre, and the Millennium Forum, in conjunction with city firm Diamond Corrugated, have been shortlisted for a prestigious annual arts award.

Ailbhe Beirne of Echo Echo Dance Theatre is shortlisted for the Arts Individual of the Year Award in Allianz Arts & Business NI Awards while the Forum and Diamond Corrugated have been shortlisted in the Community Engagement Award section.

They were shortlisted by six judges from across the continuum of commerce and culture because they exemplified the best examples of excellence in business and arts partnership from this year’s nominations.

The awards pay tribute to a total of 20 shortlisted partnerships competing for first prize in five awards categorieswhile Ailbhe is one of three arts-related individuals shortlisted for the prestigious Arts Individual of the Year Award. A further three individuals shortlisted for the esteemed Business Individual of the Year Award and 20 arts organisations shortlisted for the Arts Award which has a cash prize of £2,000.

However, the successful nominees will have to wait to find out if they have won until the Awards Ceremony on Thursday, January 17, at the Forum.
