STRABANE Olympic return again to the sunny isle of Tenerife to the annual Soccer Experience International Masters Tournament.
This year the tournament runs from November 13th to 16th and promises to be bigger and better than last year.
Having added two new recruits to the squad the Strabane team of Rory Gallagher, Cahill Blee, Paddy Arbuckle, Darren Wallace, Johnny Dooher, Paul Doherty, Mickey Duddy, Jay McMenamin, Kieran O'Kane, Ryan O'Kane and Barry Porter, are already up against it with last years champions Leicester City returning to the fold with much of the team still in tact.
A twist in the tournament this year is that Celtic and Rangers will merge to form an Old Firm team probably a first in Scottish football. Again an All Star side will be competiting.
Some other ex pro teams hoping to come and play this year is the Southampton old boys including the likes of David Howells and Rod Wallace. Hoping to come back if his knee is ready will be ex-Spurs midfielder Nayim and another player to watch out for this year will be ex-West Ham and Northern Ireland team captain Steve Lomas.
Marcus Gayle wants the top goalscorer award again and he will play alongside FA Cup winner from the 'Crazy Gang' Wimbledon team Carlton Fairweather.
However the biggest attraction of the weeken will be the current La Liga team Tenerife who will be entering a team for the first time.
The Strabane based team will not be outdone by their opponents and already have last years goalkeeper of the tournament signed for another year.
The Strabane Olympic team have been preparing very well and are determined to go one better than last year. Having been beat in the semi-fianl last year the Strabane lads will be hoping to come back with the silver ware this time.
